Scholarships

In order to perpetuate HEM’s civic duty and to combine the need for performance and duty of equity, one of the objectives of HEM Foundation is to broaden the scope of student scholarships already funded by the school to enable more needy and deserving youth to access to its Grande Ecole program.

Eligibility

HEM Foundation’s scholarships are awarded to young graduates or students admitted to HEM’s entrance exam for the Grande Ecole Program (July session) with a minimum grade average of 12/20 (60%) and whose parental (household) net income is less than or equal to 10,000 dirhams per month.

In addition, the applicants for the scholarship have to sit for an oral interview before a committee appointed by the Foundation and whose objective is to assess their potential and ability to integrate the values of active citizenship.

Operating rules

Grants are awarded in installments throughout the period of studies:

  • Each scholarship applicant gets an annual loan of up to 20,000 dirhams from HEM Foundation’s partner bank (Banque Populaire); to be refunded after the completion of studies.
  • HEM Foundation finances all or 3/4 of the remaining tuition cost depending on the level of household income.

Candidates are required to submit a complete file to the secretariat of HEM Foundation on time. Each selected file is submitted to a committee made of active members of the Foundation, which meets at the end of July for the granting and renewal of scholarships. In case of academic failure, the grant is suspended, unless otherwise determined by the commission.

A quota of annual scholarships is assigned to each HEM campus ahead of time. However, the permutations can be made between campuses if the quota in question is not reached in one or more campuses.
