European Conference on Information Systems - ECIS, hosted this year their conference on June 8-14 in Stockholm, in order to discuss the importance of Information Systems for a Sharing Society.
A Sharing Society enables the advanced development of digital information technologies. Governments, organizations, and individuals have gained new capabilities and opportunities for sharing data, information, and knowledge in the world that is digitizing.
The continuous evolvement of a Sharing Society significantly influences the efficient and effective use of information systems and advanced digital technologies. These are important to study from multiple perspectives.
ECIS 2019 was co-hosted between Stockholm University and Uppsala University and was a meeting platform for European and international researchers in the field of Information Systems to discuss and debate this sharing phenomenon.
HEM was represented by Professor Ali Elquammah, Director at HEM and the local organizing Chair of ECIS 2020 next year that is going to take place for the first time in North Africa on June 15-17 in Marrakech/Morocco.
