Charif Hamidi is an investment banker and strategy consultant turned social entrepreneur. He is the founder of Ed4.0 (Education 4.0) a mission driven Edtech startup committed to achieve the fourth Sustainable Development Goal.
Ed4.0 designs innovative pedagogical programs and learning strategies, develops AI powered Edtech solutions, and advises governments, ministries of education, foundations, and private equity firms.
Being a social enterprise, Ed4.0 empowers youth, and girls in particular, in Africa and the Middle-East through education technology and AI to develop their foundational and cognitive skills, creativity, and design and systems thinking with the purpose of democratizing quality education, breaking free from high cost models of education, and preparing youth for the labor markets of the fourth industrial revolution.
Ed4.0 has been featured on several media outlets such as Forbes and Alhurra and praised by many academics, tech leaders and government leaders such as the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade, Sigrid Kaag, and co-founder of Twitter, Biz Stone. CNN International is currently filming a documentary on Ed4.0 and its mission to educate 1.5 million children in Africa on 4IR skills by 2023.
