PROLIB

"PROLIB" (contraction of “projet libre” (open or free project) is a transversal managerial, social or citizen project. It takes place all over the academic year and is conducted in groups of 5 to 10 students.

It concerns students of 1st to 5th year and constitutes a separate subject.

Group led actions may cover the following areas:

• The environment
• Support to associations and civil society organizations 
• Help or support to a given group
• Cultural activities (drama, film club, event, ...)
• Sports activities
• Lucrative business

Such a project requests methodology and a genuine mixture of autonomy and teamwork, communication and action, creativity and response to constraints.

Projects are implemented gradually. In order to provide a consistent evolution of the student profile, it is strongly advised to conduct a social project in 1st year and a managerial project in 4th year.

Each project must attain the following objectives:

• Self-awareness
• Knowledge of and interaction with others 
• "Together, we can create"
• "How can we give, together, a sense to what we do?"

Each of these elements, based on its corresponding level, is highlighted with regard to the other elements. Thus, "PROLIB", over the years, helps students,:

• Expand their autonomy and self-confidence
• Develop interpersonal skills in and outside HEM Business School
• Develop a sense of responsibility
• Acquire and practice skills
• Be rigorous
• Develop creativity
• Confront the real world
• Be in harmony with their beliefs in terms of citizenship and ethics
